A key aim of the conference is to contribute to shaping the <strong>EU Action Plan for GIs<\/strong> by bringing forward the practical challenges and expectations of GI producers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The conference will also explore the role of GIs as a successful tool for sustainable rural development and as an attractive, competitive model for farmers and producers. By showcasing the economic, cultural, and societal value of GIs, it will emphasise why producers decide to embark on the GI path and the added value they bring to local communities and beyond.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\ud83d\udde3<\/strong> Interpretation will be provided in DE, EL, EN, ES, FR, IT and PL.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:45px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<details class=\"wp-block-details has-medium-font-size\"><summary><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-green-color is-layout-flow wp-block-details-is-layout-flow\">About the organisers<\/mark><\/summary>\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-grid wp-container-core-group-is-layout-9649a0d9 wp-block-group-is-layout-grid\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group wp-container-content-69bc4bdf\"><div class=\"wp-block-group__inner-container is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>AREPO, the Association of European Regions for Products of Origin (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.arepoquality.eu\">www.arepoquality.eu<\/a>), is a network of regions and producer associations that deals with products of origin and EU quality schemes. <\/strong>It represents 33 European regions and over 800 associations of producers for over 60% of European GIs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>EFOW, the European Federation of Origin Wines (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.efow.eu\">www.efow.eu<\/a>), <\/strong>is the Brussels-based organisation representing PDO and PGI wines towards European institutions. As the voice of origin wines, our mission is to protect and promote the GI concept in all policy areas.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>oriGIn EU is the European branch of the global alliance of GIs <\/strong>(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.origin-gi.com\/web_articles\/origin-eu\/\">https:\/\/www.origin-gi.com\/web_articles\/origin-eu\/<\/a>).
