{"id":18377,"date":"2026-02-17T17:09:24","date_gmt":"2026-02-17T16:09:24","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.arepoquality.eu\/event\/from-recognition-to-value-strengthening-gi-producers-groups-across-the-eu\/"},"modified":"2026-03-31T11:02:46","modified_gmt":"2026-03-31T09:02:46","slug":"from-recognition-to-value-strengthening-gi-producers-groups-across-the-eu","status":"publish","type":"event","link":"https:\/\/www.arepoquality.eu\/it\/event\/from-recognition-to-value-strengthening-gi-producers-groups-across-the-eu\/","title":{"rendered":"From Recognition to Value: Strengthening GI Producers Groups Across the EU"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>AREPO, EFOW and oriGIn EU are pleased to invite you to participate in the European workshop <em>\u201cFrom Recognition to Value: Strengthening GI Producers Groups Across the EU\u201d<\/em>, which will take place on&nbsp;<strong>25 June 2026 at the European Committee of the Regions in Brussels <\/strong>(Rue Belliard 99\/101).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The event is organised in the framework of the Horizon Europe&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gismart.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">GI SMART<\/a>&nbsp;<\/strong>project and it will constitute the 4th meeting of the GI SMART EU MAP.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At a time of evolving EU policy and a renewed legal framework for Geographical Indications, this one-day European workshop will offer a dedicated space to reflect on how GI producer groups can be better recognised, structured and supported to unlock their full potential:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Morning \u2013 Policy and governance framework<\/strong><ul><li>Presentation of the Committee of the Regions study on how local and regional authorities support GI development;<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exchange with Members of the European Parliament active in the Intergroup \u201cWine, Spirits and Quality Foodstuff\u201d on the EU GI Action Plan and broader policy perspectives, including the post-2027 CAP.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Morning &#8211; National recognition systems<\/strong>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Sharing of experiences with Member State administrations on national systems for recognising GI producer groups.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Afternoon \u2013 Producers\u2019 perspectives and practical experience<\/strong><ul><li>Interactive roundtables with GI producer groups from the wine and food sectors;<\/li><\/ul>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Concrete approaches to creating value, regulating production potential and preserving the benefits generated by GIs.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":18374,"template":"","category_event":[12,690],"class_list":["post-18377","event","type-event","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category_event-eventi-arepo","category_event-gi-smart-it"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v27.4 -
