On 23 April 2026, AREPO will organise the “6th European event on quality and origin
products” at the Common House of the Regions Emilia-Romagna, Hessen, Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Wielkopolska (Rue Montoyer 21, 1000 Brussels).
For more than fifteen years, this event has brought together EU and regional institutions, producers, academia and key players in the agri-food sector to discuss European quality policies.
The 2026 edition will feature two main moments:
- 2.00 PM – 6.30 PM | EU high level conference: “From research to action: guiding future EU Policies to enhance territorial impacts of Geographical Indications”
- 7.00 PM – 10.30 PM | Tasting of regional quality products from AREPO member regions
The conference will contribute to ongoing discussions on the future of the GI sector, particularly in the context of the post-2027 CAP and the future EU Action Plan on Geographical Indications, by bringing together scientific research and policy guidance.
This edition is organised in collaboration with the Horizon Europe project GI SMART and it also constitutes the third meeting of the GI SMART EU MAP.
Simultaneous translation will be provided in English, French, German, Greek, Italian and Spanish.
